I noticed that my blog has lost it’s luster lately. I began this blog to write about the things I am passionate about, such as:
- People
- Love
- Parenting
- Politics
- American history
- World history
- Learning
- Helping others (giving unwanted advice)
- Work
- Life
- Rants (to help me vent)
- American culture
- Learning about other cultures
Lately, I have written for my audience instead of myself.
I am going to go back to the original point of this blog. My readers will see very opinionated posts.
So, no more fluff.
Eccentric will be passionate and opinionated posts from this point forward.

/ July 28, 2012Well good Kizzy – Liz is back! The woman and bagger at the store have put me in a “rant” of a mood! That is for sure. No wonder my husband is hiding upstairs!

/ July 28, 2012Quite right too. Gotta blog for yourself. I’ll write posts that respond to peoples’ comments if it suits. Mostly I write about whatever comes to me. I find that works. I’m sure it works for you too.

/ July 28, 2012Yes, for some reason I was holding back. Guess trying to hold on to traffic. Not blogging for traffic. Blogging for myself. I am an opinionated woman. I cannot hide it. Have to be me! Koodos to all the opinionated women out there, keep up the good work!

/ July 28, 2012I think blogging for yourself makes it more enjoyable and improves your writing, when you force issues or opinions it feels stifled and unreal.
LizEccentric7
/ July 28, 2012@mystudentstruggles – a reader knows when you are throwing “fluff” their way. You make an extremely valid point on the subject. I love your feedback!
LizEccentric7
/ July 29, 2012That is so true. Thank you.

/ July 29, 2012Good point. I think we all have that little voice in our head that wonders just how far we could push the envelope with what we post. I have written some stuff on politics and gay/lesbian and found it to be a readership killer. Seems many people want to read other folk’s fluff rather than their huff.

/ July 29, 2012That’s an awesome way to be…. There is a reason that magazines have lost their luster with the public. People, in my opinion, don’t need to be talked at! They need a great story. They need YOUR experience. You are unique!!! And it’s okay!! I’m excited to see what you come out with!!! Hooray for freshness!!!
LizEccentric7
/ July 29, 2012@JFox1221 – I agree and thank you. I thought the blog was getting a little too fluffy.

/ July 30, 2012Fluff isn’t always a bad thing…like when your pillow is fluffy, or when your precious pieces are packed in fluff when you move….but I like the non-fluff blogs!!!
LizEccentric7
/ July 30, 2012@myhonestself – there is nothing like a fluffy pillow. Passionate writing is always an interesting read.

/ July 31, 2012Kizzy, I am honored to accept this award! Your comment has put me in a great mood. Thank you for the ping back too. I really enjoy your writing. The streamers and balloons made my day!
Thank you Kizzy & Frodo
I am sure Frodo is on your lap.
