Looking at a Closed Door?

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.”

-Helen Keller

Thoughts:

I tend to look at the closed doors for much too long.

  1. One of our ex-pat friends from years ago (Dutch living in Australia) always reminded us that when one door closes, another one opens. Important I think.

    • @Roughseasinthemed – thought Helen Keller was correct in that people look at the closed door too long.

The part about looking at the closed door, was the only reason this particular quote caught my eye.

I will not look at the closed door for too long in the future.

    • @mystudentstruggles – I am fascinated by quotes, since I found a great quote app from the app store. Quotes get my brain going in the morning.

I never can find the open door – sometimes it feels like I just want to stare and cling to the closed door forever…xoxo

    • @Kizzy – Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I always forget the huge time difference between the U.S. and England (5 hours about). The blogging award just gave me some serious blogging motivation!

Who doesn’t love an award? An award from Kizzy is the highest blogging award.

Thank you Kizzy, that is really thoughtful.
      Kisses to Frodo :)
