Dare of the Day #2

Try to reconnect with nature, to feel more grounded, by taking a walk, or if you are unable to walk, by just sitting in a quiet peaceful place.

This dare requires that you take zero electronics, no cell phone or laptop, or camera or MP3.

Nothing that distracts you from using all senses to feel the beauty all around you.

Good idea to take water and snacks and the dog if you have one.

Love to hear the results if and when you take on this dare.

Happy Saturday!
:)

Dare of the Day

Dare: Do something today that makes you happy and feel alive.

I am taking my dog on a few hour hike deep in the woods (yes alone). Even though it can be scary going that deep into the woods alone, I love exploring.

Nature makes me feel refreshed and alive!

Would love to hear the results if you plan to take on this dare to happiness.

Have a wonderful and joyous day.

50 Million Trees Destroyed in China – U.S. Facing Same Fate?

3 years = insect kills 50,000,000 trees (China)

Insect shipped to United States = same possible outcome

Tree killing insect was accidentally shipped to the United States via wood shipping materials. These insects are wiping out trees in record numbers in the United States. 50 million, let’s think about this number 50,000,000 trees were destroyed in three years due to this pestilence in China.

The consequences of this insect being introduced into the United States could have a serious impact on the forests and ecosystems, it already has in some states. The insect has just been found in my area, the devastation it has caused in just one summer is crazy!

Why is this important?

Unhappy? Afraid? Lonely?

The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature.”

“As long as this exists, and it certainly always will, I know that then there will always be comfort for every sorrow, whatever the circumstances may be. And I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles.”

I want to thank my wonderful neighbor for planting all of these beautiful flowers. My neighbor is the best gardener I have ever seen!
