“Jealousy is bred in doubts. When those doubts change into certainties, then the passion either ceases or turns absolute madness.”

Absolute madness are the only words to explain the events that occurred in the following story (as true as I can recall). I had been working at this particular facility for some time. I loved my job and became almost like family with the people I worked with and the residents at the facility.

One day along came a woman. (more…)

America: The Closing Gap

Do you want to know how much of America China owns? Go to:

http://www.defeatthedebt.com/understanding-the-national-debt/how-much-do-we-owe/

I had no idea the staggering amounts of money our government is borrowing every minute.

Gas Prices: $3.35 per gallon U.S. dollars

Gallon of Milk: $2.50 U.S. Dollars

American workers are underpaid and overworked. The health insurance that is provided by employers is horrible coverage and expensive.

We pay around $400 per month for health insurance.

Blue and white collar workers are unhappy. Employers are not giving raises or very little. Employers are mistreating workers because they are aware of how scarce jobs are in America.

A good job is almost impossible to find in America. The only great jobs are union jobs. For example, teachers, cops, post office and any government jobs.

Grocery prices are raising rapidly while the pay for all workers is lower than I can remember in my lifetime.

The American economy is horrible. The middle class has been the most affected by the horrible economy.

The middle class is finding it hard to survive in this economy. Many homeowners are moving to apartments or (flats). Homeownership is now a lost American dream for most people.

Lower pay, higher prices, and a terrible work environment is the current state of the American economy. The rich or very poor have not seemed to be affected much by the economy.

The middle class is slowly becoming poor.

There may only be two economic classes in America in the future: Rich or Poor.

The middle class might not exist in the future. I have a feeling this change may come much more quickly than Americans could ever imagine.

What Have “words” Done for You Lately?

Words can be powerful even devastating. Why has our society shifted into a world of hateful remarks, put-downs and gossip? Well, I am sick of it! People have nothing better to do than pick on others’?

I am referring to adults! That’s the sad part-these are grown-ups!

Words have:
-Freed slaves
-Enslaved people
-Created the atomic bomb
-Started wars

This really makes me think, the next time I am getting ready to say something negative, I will try my best to STOP!

A word can make me feel great! A word can also make me feel lower than dirt!

Now we live in a world with constant put-downs! It’s getting old, real fast! Why would I want to listen if all I hear are negative remarks and gossip! My brain tunes out that information. Has there been a shift in society where others’ feel better putting people down?

That is cruel. Maybe the old days of being polite need revisited.

I beleive people rise to our expectations.

Thoughts or experiences you would like to share on the subject?

Employers – You Suck!

The job market is treating private business workers unfairly. White and blue collar workers are underpaid and overworked. The working environment is horrible. Many workers are working salaried positions sometimes 70 hours per week, on a salary with no overtime pay.

I feel that the private businesses are using the economy as an excuse to treat workers poorly. White and blue collar workers alike. Pay has been lowered, but work increased. Taxes have increased, sales and income taxes. The private sector keeps complaining there are too many regulations and they are costly.

Our country needs to loosen the state, county and federal regulations so the private sector can go back to functioning normally and treating employees with some respect and value. The massive permit regulations have made it almost impossible for the housing industry to rebound. Along with EPA requirements. I worked in the housing industry for many years. I watched the industry fall and crumble due to Sarbanes-Oxley, EPA and State, and local permit regulations.

Why are we regulating the private sector so much when we need good, stable jobs?

The private sector is not going to have such jobs until we loosen the regulations and taxes, federally, state and locally.

Loosen the regulations, and jobs will magically appear.

However, the regulations and taxes are no excuse for the poor treatment of workers in the private sector. I have never seen employees treated so badly and so underpaid in my lifetime. The employers know just how far they can go before they break the law.

Employers, please show employees respect and loyalty and they will show the same to you!

Congress: Loosen the regulations and red tape!
